Define the carrying job

Specify the products, packed dimensions and expected load before choosing a construction. Confirm finished width, gusset, height, opening and handle length. A bag for boxed gifts needs a base that lets the box sit flat. Give the supplier a representative packed set and agree a handling trial instead of accepting an unspecified load claim.

Describe the full material structure

Ask the supplier to identify the woven substrate, coating or lamination and reinforcement. The outer appearance does not describe the entire bag. Compare physical samples for stiffness, folding behaviour and how the filled bag stands. A stiffer construction may support display but change packing volume. Confirm the quoted sample uses the intended production materials.

Review the finish under real lighting

Gloss and matte surfaces change the appearance of colours and handling marks. Inspect large printed areas, corners and folds under ordinary retail lighting. Do not assume a laminated surface makes seams and openings waterproof. If water resistance matters, define the exposure and ask for relevant test evidence. Environmental claims also need documentation for the actual construction.

Inspect seams and handles together

Examine stitching, bottom corners and handle attachment points on an assembled sample. Check for rough edges and uncomfortable handle spacing. Load the bag in its intended shape and repeat the agreed carrying sequence. Record any separation, distortion or stitching damage. Establish acceptance criteria with the supplier and retain the approved construction as a reference.

Approve printing across panels

Provide artwork showing seams, folds and printable areas. Keep critical text away from joins. Where a pattern crosses panels, agree which elements must align and what variation is acceptable. Establish a physical colour reference or material-specific proof. Confirm whether artwork changes, extra colours or future reorders require additional setup charges.

Compare the packed order

Request MOQ by size, artwork and material structure. Ask for quantity per carton, carton count and packed dimensions. Compare unit prices alongside setup, sampling, packing and delivery terms. Keep the final specification and signed sample together so future orders can be assessed against the same construction rather than a similar-looking catalogue photograph.

Quotation Checklist

• Product use, packed dimensions and intended load. • Finished dimensions, measurement order and tolerances. • Material, colour, construction and reinforcement. • Handle dimensions, attachment and surface finish. • Logo artwork, placement and colour approval reference. • Quantity by size/design, MOQ and setup charges. • Sample requirements, acceptance criteria and revision costs. • Packing quantities, carton measurements and labels. • Required arrival date, destination and delivery terms. • Inspection arrangements and reference samples for reorders.
Send this specification with a product photograph or representative packed sample when requesting a quotation. Ask the supplier to list assumptions and alternatives separately so you can compare offers on the same basis.

BULK ORDERS & SAMPLE APPROVAL

Planning a bulk or repeat packaging order?

Paper bags start at 500 pieces. Selected shopping and garment bag styles may support 100–200 pieces; confirm the style and specification. Gift boxes, wrapping paper and jewelry pouch MOQs are quoted separately.

Request a specification-based quotation

Send product type, finished dimensions, quantity per design, print and finish, destination postal code and required arrival date. If planning 1,000, 3,000 or 5,000 pieces, ask for a separate price at each quantity. Include your reorder forecast when available.
